Fall Fashion at the Marina

Colour trending for Fall/Winter 2011

"Avant-garde and prevailing chic.
Bronze tones of state of the art style flirt endlessly with bold confidence.
Olive yarns mixed with shades of pale goldenrod give knits an alluring appeal."

Play with layers this Winter!
Have fun mixing and matching the patterns and find balance in your neutrals and fall colors.

Take a few tips on "Boho layering" from our friends @ Elle:

Boho chic inspired outfits can be found in their utmost beauty in the designer collections (Kenzo and Roberto Cavalli to name a few ) of the fall/winter season. Therefore those who long for a similar alternative look have the chance to gather more inspiration as well as basic style tips to copycat. In fact this style tendency is almost the easiest to master as golden rules of accessorizing are busted and creativity is which takes over the dominance.

The sole condition to rock the look is to devote a prominent attention to the color base which should build up a more harmonious image. Pair your silky pants as well as the bulky outfit pieces with dainty heels to preserve the feminine allure of your look and bring out the best of your silhouette.

"The secret for a stylish, sophisticated, timeless look is to choose colors in the same tonal palette, which also has a slimming effect."
~Suite 101

Lula May's light skin color is so close in tonal palette that the champagne pink tutu-dress adds a slimming effect and shows off her amazing figure perfectly.

Jewel Tones

After taking a few seasons off, sapphire blue is finally starting to appear again. Expect to see it layered with ruby red, coral, lavender, and citron.  Use taupe or chocolate brown as a base and watch the jewel tones pop, or layer with black to bring some life back to that simple black dress.

"It is classic, elegant and beautiful. It never looks out of place, whether it's on a baseball jersey, an office dress shirt, or a simple dress for dinner. A brunette in sapphire blue is effortlessly stunning."
